Moscow to slap sanctions on Pashinyan-linked businessmen - newspaper

The Armenian government's recent anti-Russian actions have caused a stir among the country's business community, according to the Yerevan-based "Hraparak" daily.

Even those businessmen who support the government are not optimistic about the situation. Apparently, this group has already received messages from Moscow warning them that sanctions will soon be imposed on businessmen who are close to Nikol Pashinyan.

"It is worth noting that Russian markets for Armenian products will also be closed in addition to the ban on the Lars border crossing, while taxes and other measures will be taken. This shows the consequences of rejecting the Russian Federation. Russian authorities are waiting for a meeting in Brussels, after which they will take practical steps based on the Armenian authorities' decision," the newspaper writes.

It should be noted that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken are scheduled to meet on April 5 in Brussels.
